Euromart Cars is a well-established Spanish automotive dealer who supplies used cars for sale in Javea, on the Costa Blanca, Spain.
We were approached by Euromart Cars to help them overhaul and reinvigorate their web presence. After several years of prominent search positions, new competitors with more modern websites, and updates to Google’s search algorithm, had seen their rankings slide and their referrals dwindle.
As we began to investigate, it quickly became apparent that they were losing out from an old-school website which wasn’t matching their brand promise. Not only that, but a series of techniques had been employed for SEO which were now doing more harm than good. It was time for an overhaul.
We designed them a new website from scratch, with a highly customised WordPress CMS (content management system) precisely tailored to manage used car listings quickly and easily. The website is designed responsively, and adapts to the user’s browser (desktop, tablet or phone) automatically.
The Euromart Cars site makes the most of its images, displaying car photos in a minimal modern gallery setting that can be navigated with a mouse, keyboard or by swiping. A video is included for every vehicle, and both photos and videos can be viewed full-screen on any device with ease.
Aside from considerations of design and usability, an analysis was made of the online used car market in Spain, and the typical habits of buyers looking for cars online. This in turn influenced the fine detail of the layout of the car listings, and also the approach that was taken to the site’s SEO.
Within 1 month, the site had begun to climb in Google’s search rankings. Page 3 results became page 2, and within 6 weeks Euromart Cars was page 1 on Google for all its main keywords. Within 6 months, Euromart Cars became the most search-engine-visible Spanish car website on the Web.
